Ticket to Ride

One ticket for Helena to Los Angeles via Boston please. ~_^

In Ticket to Ride players compete to earn the most victory points by building railroads and completing their ticket routes.

Each player has different route tickets. Tickets require two cities to be connected, such as Boston and Miami. There are a limited number of available railways on the board and many choke points. At the end of the game players earn points for each completed ticket route, but lose points for any they failed to complete.

The core gameplay mechanic involves collecting cards of matching colors in order to claim railways. For example, six red train car cards are required to connect New Orleans to Miami. The longer the route the more points it is worth.

There are many different editions of Ticket to Ride for different areas in the world (e.g. Europe, Asia, etc.), which can be helpful in catering to the interests of the given play group.

Ticket to Ride is both extremely easy to learn and teach. This makes it a great family game and gateway game. Win or lose, Ticket to Ride leaves you feeling satisfied.
